the "minimum" day that started at 6:15 AM and doesn't end until after 8:30 PM.

Into the 4th week of school, its spirit week, Comic book themed - DC gotham city, Marvel (fantastic 4), Cape Day and "choose your side" Hero or Villian day. Everyday this week has some sort of disruption to the normal schedule.  TAG on Tuesday (not Monday), short Flex wednesday for Department meetings, Back to school night (B2SN) thursday and Pep Rally (5A/5B) schedule for friday. 

Its good to get the weird schedules out of the way all in one week, but man are the kids all screwwy because of it or what??  Through off their day by a few minutes one way or the other and EXCUSE to be absolute pain in the necks and not work. Why is it that they think, if even one minute is taken off the period, its too short to work in so they just sit and talk...

Small political plug here, we've been advised by the union to mention that if the governors initiative doesn't pass, we will loss 15 days off the school calendar and 3 weeks of learning for their little darlings.  I don't think we can get the thing passed, either way, but whatever.

 Shoulder is almost back to useable, if I had time to use it that is.  My horse and I both mourn the lack of saddle time I've gotten in the last 3 weeks.  Hoefully after this weekend I will be able to schedule some ride time in for me.  Gotta prep the classroom for all the parents tonight, yipee!!   E>)
