6 days onto the crutches healing the badly sprained foot. 800 mg Ibuprofen is a good and a bad thing. Makes the pain stop, but then I get up on it and it doesn't hurt, so I'm trying really hard to not to push it.
SitRep: My horses are slowly getting worked. Rodeo on Tuesday (before the sprain), Kit this AM while getting the wiring finished up on the barn. Wahoo!! I have lights again. thanks, Dale (<-- his day job is traffic lights and other electrical stuff). Man oh Man, it was sweet to watch somebody come in and just fix it. Back to the horses, Timme is next up for this afternoon after my nap with an ice pack and some elevation. Tomorrow is Columbus Day off school (first time in years we have had this holiday. I think they were planning on using it as a furlough day and ended up not needing to use it).
Anyways, hopefully I will get more "therapy" time for me and the horses. I hate this out of shape, fat, slowness I feel. Darned flake of hay in the wrong spot, my foot snap sounded like a chicken bone popping.
Riding for me is a passion that is barely fulfilled. Teaching HS is what I do to pay the bills. Between work, and one son in the USAF, and another off rock climbing between school days. I need some sanity.
Ride'em like you'd like to be ridden.
Thank God for Horses. B>)

tutoring, tutoring, torturing
Sometimes after school is in full swing and I'm doing the tutoring thing, and my students need help and my sons need help and it just seems like everybody needs help... I want to go ride my horse, see even my horses need help. 1 butt, 3 horses to work, a full time job and a family. Oh and lets not forget mom, she's 82 and seems to need me more each day. I try and appreciate the neededness, but when I get tired I get cranky. No body likes a cranky E. She is like snapping and growling and just not tolerant of ignorance in people, and everyone seems so ignorant!! < big sigh> relax, it is ok. Gotta go, on to the next tutoring session. Just finished 1:45 at schol as a math tutor, now waiting thru Oldest Twerps 1.5 hrs in Spanish tutoring, and then off to deal with dinner, horses and family... wish me luck... E>)

Man, where did the year go? Almost May...
Good Friday to all; I am sitting in my classroom with my youngest (who becomes a official teen on the 27th) and he is entertaining himself with the same toys he has played with since he was 3. Talk about versatility, he can design games for the same toys even though he is 10 years older and stuck with mom in her classroom...
The oldest Son is becoming a true teen, complete with the drop in place sleeping when growing and the "meh" response to anything he is asked about. Still has trouble with the cell phone rules (NOT during school hrs!!), but has raised his grades to almost all A's from 2 D,2A;s and 2B;s for 3rd quarter. Wants his internet priviledges back, but he can't folow cell phone rules what makes me think he can follow internet rules. And he wants to drive in a little over 6 months, right...... He is begging to go visit Krystal (Lani!) this weekend, I don't even know her yet (<--not happening until I do).
Youngest Son's grades are up as well, only one C+, and the rest A's and B's... I guess they deserve the internet back, I guess I will just put time limits on it again and block FB, MyS, etc. if they get crappy about it.
Life is at its hectic best. Tack swap in Acton at the Community Center on Saturday, then big Easter Brunch with the neighbors. When will I find time to cook? Need to still buy stuff for the food part of the tack swap.
DM's mom had been in the hospital for phneumonia/UTI. She is out and at a care facilty to gain strength and get health enough to be at home with only check in supervision. DM's oldest sister has the room to take her in, but is enjoying time alone without kids finally and is reluctant to spoil that. DM's middle sister is doing her level best to juggle caring for Granny and dealing with all the havoc it has raised in the family. Both she and we have no room for an extra person in our house. Not sure what to do, leaving it to God, and Jim to decide.
Back to class....

My Resolutions for 2011
ok, I've gotten rather complacent about promises I make to myself. They never get kept, some 3 alarm fire takes precedence, or time just gets away from me. SO HERE GOES, lets see how many of these I can actually get done regularly/completely this year.
* Ride Kit twice a week - ok just exercising once will do, but at least 1 ride on Kit per week.
* Ride/exercise Timme once a week - he needs to stay sane, too.
* Ride/Exercise Rodeo at least 3 times a month - he's a good boy, and deserves to be out more
* DO something AEROBIC twice a week, and no riding doesn't count. I'm talking blood pumping, breathing hard, and feeling better (15-20 minutes mininum).
* Make my bedroom a place of order and peace, not the chaos/mess it is now.
* Work on making the house a place of clean peace and order.
* Keep the quicken updated and bills organized weekly.
* Have a monthly date with Jim.
* Do something individual with each of my sons.
* Find a way to stop the yelling/nagging about chores and still get them done.
There. I have to stop. That list is growing beyond comprehension. It needs read scriptures and get back to church again often, but I can't see that happening.... wishes....
Didn't somebody say wishes are just goals without deadlines...
Well off to make something happen. E>)
