Well it has been over a year since I started monthly lessons with Matt Sheridan. We have moved mountains and crossed lots of bridges (she's still not fond of water crossings). She is light, and easy, and starting to really improve into a horse that may one day soon see an arena in reining/cowhorse competition.
Clinic this weekend at Matt's, drive up on friday, so I can sleep in on Saturday for an 8AM start. My last year's birthday wish was to get "Lesson $$ for Matt" so thats what I got, and when all was spent I got monthly lessons and we've made many improvements. So again this year I asked again and I think I may have to supplement a little, but monthly lessons will continue.
Kit now has the idea abut collection, and leads (no flying changes yet) and is wearing sliders, so it will encourage her to tuck her butt and stop. I have my first "making dirt" picture, as I call it.
OH well will try to upload later, its giving me fits!!
Riding for me is a passion that is barely fulfilled. Teaching HS is what I do to pay the bills. Between work, and one son in the USAF, and another off rock climbing between school days. I need some sanity.
Ride'em like you'd like to be ridden.
Thank God for Horses. B>)
